Advanced Vastu muhurat वास्तु मुहूर्त
Finds exact time windows, to the minute, for a Vastu activity. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana start and end times are calculated to the second; Rahu kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika and choghadiya come from your local sunrise and sunset. Indian time (IST). Traditional belief Please confirm with your family priest.
Calculation method and precision
- Sun and Moon positions: astronomy-engine (VSOP87 / lunar theory), true ecliptic of date.
- Ayanamsa: Lahiri (Chitrapaksha), 23.857092° at J2000 advanced by IAU 2006 precession.
- Sunrise/sunset: upper limb of the Sun with standard refraction, at sea level, for the latitude and longitude you enter.
- Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana end times: bisection search to about 1 second. Rahu kaal, Yamaganda and Gulika: day split into 8 equal parts; choghadiya: day and night split into 8 parts each.
- All times are shown in IST, rounded to the nearest minute.
- Checked against Drik Panchang — see the comparison table below; every row is within 1.5 minutes.
- Limits: other panchangs may differ by 1–3 minutes (different ephemeris, refraction or a sunrise taken at the Sun's centre). Hilltop height, local horizon and a different ayanamsa (e.g. Raman, KP) can shift times further. Activity rules follow common traditions and vary by region.
Published vs calculated (IST)
Published times are printed to the minute, so a difference under 1 minute is within rounding. Calculated times are worked out live by this tool. Swipe the table sideways to see every column.

Folk beliefs: the ebook also reads omens from objects dug up during excavation (stones, metals, coal, bones and so on), and lists rules about who owned the land before. We don't score any of these, because they can't be checked and some of them are unfair to people. Ask the seller about the land's past use (dumping, filling, old wells), and get a soil test for the foundations instead.
